Just another day

I woke up this morning expecting to see
The regular wet stuff coming down on me
Opened the door and lo and behold
The wet stuff was white, it had turned cold.
Not a little but a lot, covered the car
I wasn't expecting today, this is bizarre
So off with the shoes and slip on the boots
I sure hope they plowed the main routes
It's packing snow, you know the wet stuff
It will make things more tricky, but it won't be that tough.
The car moved not bad on the barely covered streets
It is now I wish for my warm bed covering sheets
To snuggle down deep, instead of struggling it out
I could enjoy some more sleep time, snow I do without.
But wait it's Friday, my joy increases ten-fold
Now I don't care if the wet stuff turned cold
For now there will be two days of sleeping in
If you could see me I have a big happy grin.
On with the day, I await the next surprise
Something will happen, something will arise.
